 | 21/07/2009 Today was my last day in the rainforest so Leonardo took me to see the big brazil nut tree that I am going to write a story about. It is so big that it takes ten people to join their hands around the trunk. I was sad to leave the rainforest. It is very beautiful. Hoje foi meu ultimo dia na floresta então Leonardo me levou para ver uma grande castanheira que irei escrever sobre ela. Ela é tão grande que precisa dez pessoas para abraça-la. Eu fiquei triste porque tive que ir embora porque a floresta é muito bonita. |  |
 | 22/07/2009 I have been drawing lots of pictures for the story. It is called ‘The Very Last Tree’ and has lots of different animals in it. I am going to go for a walk this afternoon to see if I can find a capybara because I have only seen one at night so far. Eu tenho desenhado muitos desenhos para a história. Se chama ‘A ultima árvore’ e há muitos animais diferentes. Nesta tarde eu estarei indo procurar uma capivara porque eu so vi uma à noite. |  |
 | 23/07/2009 Today I returned to the Jean Piaget school in Alta Floresta. I watched some lessons and we played some games. It is difficult for the children to understand me because I don’t speak any Portugese and they don’t speak any English! Hoje eu retornei para a escola Jean Piaget em Alta Floresta. Eu asisti algumas lições e jogamos alguns jogos. É difícil para as crianças me entender porque eu não falo Portugues e eles não falam Inglês. |  |
